Fashion Theory of Lipovetsky and"Era of Consummate Fashion"

时尚理论研究领域一直以古典社会学理论为主导,而鲜少有其他理论话语。通过文献阅读和比较分析,概述并归纳法国当代哲学家、社会理论家利波维茨基的时尚理论。指出在时尚发生学和动力学这两个基本问题上,利波维茨基旗帜鲜明地反对阶级区隔理论,他提出当代社会已经被吸引力、短暂性等时尚的基本逻辑重构,人们进入了由超时尚经济、超消费构成的完美时尚时代,无痛伦理和新个人主义有可能是民主社会未来发展的方向。认为利波维茨基的时尚理论另辟蹊径,他把“肤浅”的时尚与消费、伦理、民主等“深刻”问题联系起来的致思路径,对于时尚理论研究具有启发性。

Studies of fashion theory have been dominated by classic social theory,leaving little room for alternative academic discourses.This paper overviewed and summarized the fashion theory of Lipovetsky—contemporary French philosopher and social theorist.Concerning the two basic issues,how fashion came into being and why fashion changes,Lipovetsky explicitly rejected the class differentiation model.He argued that contemporary society was reconstructed by the attraction and transience,the very logic of fashion.People had entered into an era of consummate fashion,which was the epitome of hypermode economy and hyper-consumerism,and painlessness morality and new individualism could be the future for democracy.In this paper,we argued that Lipovetsky tried to develop alternative narratives about fashion and his theoretical framework,discussing"profoundness"issues such as consumption,morality and democracyunder"triviality",inspired for future studies of fashion theory.
