Several fatty acyl isethionates sold in the market were listed. Sodium lauroyl isethionate(SLI75) is used as an example to study the foam properties, hard water resistance, oil resistance, mildness and compatibility of sodium fatty acyl isethionate. Research shows that the fatty acid acyl isethionate has excellent foaming performance, rich and delicate foam, stable oil resistance and hard water resistance, low irritancy and good compatibility. It can be compounded with soap bases or other surfactants. The sodium fatty acyl isethionate was applied to cosmetic formulations to evaluate the performance of the prepared cleansing cream, and several popular products with added fatty acyl isethionate were listed and analyzed.
