矿区大地构造位置属扬子准地台丽江台缘褶皱带点苍山-哀牢山断褶束金平断块中部。矿区北部为哀牢山断块。区内构造发育,岩浆活动强烈,火山-沉积建造发育,成矿条件良好,是金平地区铜多金属矿的重要成研究区带之一。

The geotectonic position of the mining area belongs to the middle part of the jinping fault block of cangshan-ailao mountain fault fold bundle in the margin of the lijiang platform.The ailao mountain fault block is in the north and the mojiang-lvchun.characterized by tectonic development,intense magmatic activity,volcanic-sedimentary formation and good metallogenic conditions.
