The stable operation of power system plays an important role in all aspects of contemporary society.However,relay protection has a significant impact on the safe operation of power system.In order to ensure the normal operation of power system,it is necessary to do a good job in protection measures.Therefore,relay protection is the most important and useful part.By analyzing the relationship between electrical power system and protective relaying,this paper studies the development and function of protective relaying and verifies the necessity of stable and sustainable development in this field.
