Since the reform and opening up,Deng Xiaoping has accurately grasped the objective laws of historical development,took modernization as the meaning of socialist road with Chinese characteristics,and devoted his efforts to ensure the healthy development of socialism with Chinese characteristics by exploring a modernized institutional system.To be modern is the basic orientation of Deng Xiaoping’s exploration of the construction of a socialist system with Chinese characteristics,an important historical contribution of Deng Xiaoping,and an important principle of adhering to and improving the socialist system with Chinese characteristics.
