Geographic Time and Chain Shift

人类语言的现时读音,是历史上不同时期实际读音的虚时投影。通过大量的语言数据,有可能推演出人类语言的演化模型,从中抽象出语言演变的基本原理。本文提出“地理虚时”的方法概念,可以从大量方言的材料中,推演音变类、音变值,音变链,最后到音变规则和音变原理。

The present pronunciations in human languages are projections of pronunciations in different times in history.Evolution model of human language can be deduced based on abundant language data through which fundamental principle of language evolution can be drawn.This paper proposes the concept of geographic time method,through which phonetic variation type,phonetic variation value,chain shift,even phonetic variation rules and principles can be deduced based on abundant data of dialects.
