元韵系在粤方言和粤北连州土话的一种表现

On A Stratum of Finals from MC Yuan元Rhyme Series in Yue Dialects and Tuhua Dialect in Lianzhou City in Nothern Guangdong Province

元韵系字在粤方言和粤北连州土话中与其他山摄三四等字大体相同,但有迹象显示存在一个元韵系开口读为合口的层次;这是个较早的层次,但又不反映中古前期通语元韵系与魂、痕韵系接近的状况。它可能暗示在早期岭南汉语中,元韵系有圆唇的韵腹。

Characters from MC Yuan元rhyme series in Yue dialects and Tuhua dialect in Lianzhou city in northern Guangdong province are mostly the same as those from other rhymes of the 3 rd and 4 th divisions of Shan山rhyme group.But data show that there is a stratum of these characters that open-mouthed开口finals are pronounced as syllables with[-u-y-Ф-■]as the final or glide.It's an earlier stratum but not the stratum that shows the close relation between Yuan元,Hun魂and Hen痕in the common language of the early MC.It may imply that the essential vowels of Yuan元rhyme series are lip rounding in the early Chinese in south of the Five Ridges.
