Because of the complex structure of automatic transmission,it puts forward higher requirements for its mainten-ance.Based on the example of the 4 T65 E automatic transmission of buick car produced by general purpose,this paper analyzes in detail the difficulty of the function of each gear and parts in the shift process of this kind of transmission,so that we can improve the analysis level of the mechanical transmission part of the planetary gear automatic transmission,and provide the theoretical basis for the mechanical fault diagnosis and maintenance of the automatic transmission.
