Under the background of new engineering,the higher training quality requirements are raised for the masters majoring in materials engineering.Practical ability has become a key part in the training system for engineering masters.The level of professional practice ability is an important criterion for evaluating the quality of talents training.Taking the postgraduate training for materials engineering major in University of Jinan as an example,we have made full use of the professional advantages of this discipline at the university,and focused on the curriculum contents,the construction of practice base,the improvement of the double tutors,and the combination of dissertation and practice,etc.The training mode with the emphasis on enhancing students engineering practical ability has adopted to explore and output high-quality and innovative talents to meet the needs of the material engineering field for the society.
