摘要
作为美国文理学院代表之一的卫斯理安学院从自身办学发展出发,应美国社会对人才需求和学生就业的实际需要,开展了为期五年的“教育质量提升计划”。该计划经前期反复论证,于2015-2020年正式实施,卫斯理安学院将就业和升学模块内容有机嵌入学生四年的学分学习和第二课堂学习中,现已有初步反馈。该计划的实施过程以及现实成果对文理教育在我国高校内的存续和发展有着借鉴价值和参考意义。
Representing a typical type of liberal arts college in America,Wesleyan College has deliberately chosen to focus its five-year Quality Enhancement Plan(QEP)on the career/professional components of teaching and learning as requested both from the society and the students themselves.QEP has been systematically integrated into all four-years ofundergraduate studies and was embedded in both the curricular and co-curricular programs of Wesleyan College.Feedback from impact studies showcased that the achievements of QEP from its implementation is worth taking as reference for Chinese universities which seek for a meaningful liberal arts education as a result of the enhancement of their teaching and learning.
