Xu Zhen'e,Hu Shiying and Lu Weizhao,three Jiaxing poets during the Republic of China period,were named by Wu Mei as“the trinity of Jiangdong ci circle”.Lu Weizhao drew Shuanghong Yi Tianci Tu for Hu Shiying s A Collection of Shuanghong Ci and Xu Zhen e wrote“Xi Qiuhua”for this painting.The painting,integrating ci writing,painting and inscription,was a creation of the joint effort and talent of“the trinity”.It expresses their sincere and profound friendship in a pluralistic and artistic manner and fulfills its special value and significance.
