In this article,the dialectic features of Professor Liu Zhongde's theoretical research and practice of translation are expounded based on a detailed analysis of his theory about the Trinity Principle of Faithfulness,Expressiveness and Closeness.A conclusion is thus reached that his success,moral and academic,resulted from his long-time study and practice of Confucius'Doctrine of Mean.He set a fine example for both younger beginners and veteran translators.
