Develop Efficient and Safe Disinfectant for Chinese Consumers

With increasing consumer needs on hygiene products,lots of disinfectants emerged in the market.This paper reviewed the main mechanisms of disinfectant’s activity,disinfectant performance evaluation methods as well as the future trend.Other countries’experience on disinfectants safety assessment was also introduced.Safety assessment with non-animal test methodologies have been adopted and accepted by European regulation.Meanwhile,it is suggested to take disinfectants environmental toxicity into consideration when the regulation is reviewed,which is a crucial part of sustainable product development.
