This paper introduces the general situation, topography and geomorphology characteristics of the high pressure natural gas pipeline project of long-distance pipeline in Hefei metropolitan area, describes the relevant technical scheme and construction scheme, and discusses the technical difficulties in the construction process, including the calculation of drag back force, the preparation of mud, drilling test, grading reaming, and pipeline back towing. The possible risk points in the process are analyzed, and the emergency measures are put forward, which provides a case basis for the wide application of horizontal directional drilling construction technology.
