摘要
方孝孺在出任帝王师之前,因姻亲、抱负、生计等多重关系,曾先后两度到宁海前童讲学。除教书著术外,还积极参与童氏家族各项重大事宜,践行睦族敦亲思想,通过立宗祠、修族谱、置义田、兴族学、行聚会等一系列行动,培养读书种子,奠定前童的儒乡基础,孕育童氏的宗族精神,对前童产生深远的影响。
Before becoming the imperial teacher, Fang Xiaoru lectured in Qiantong twice owing to his in-laws, ambitions and livelihood. In addition to his devotion to teaching and writing books, he also took an active part in various critical affairs concerning the Tongs’ family, practiced the thought of maintaining the harmony of the clan, cultivated the seeds of reading, such as setting up the Tongs’ ancestral hall,compiling the Tongs’ genealogy, setting aside special land for the poor, promoting the clan education and valuing the clan gatherings, and laid the foundation of the title of Confucianism township for Qiantong and the clan spirit of Qiantong, which had a profound influence on Qiantong.
