Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics Boosts the Development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region

第24届冬季奥林匹克运动会将于2022年在北京-张家口举行。文章采用数据分析与理论分析相结合的方法,以2008年北京成功举办夏奥会至2015年成功申办冬奥会与当地社会经济发展为参照阐述2022北京冬奥会与京津冀经济发展的关系,从对京津冀产业转型升级、基础设施建设、生态环境改善、人员就业和人们生活改善等方面,进一步分析了冬奥会对京津冀区域发展的影响。研究发现,冬奥会对京津冀社会经济各个方面都有着积极的正面影响;京津冀地区应抓住冬奥会带来的发展机遇,统筹规划、合理投资、优化资源配置、坚持可持续发展理念,全面发挥奥运经济的带动作用,推动京津冀区域经济协同发展。

The XXIV Olympic Winter Games will be held in Beijing-Zhangjiakou in 2022. By adopting the method of data analysis combined with theoretical analysis, in view of the success of Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics and the successful bidding of 2022 Winter Olympics in 2015 as well as the local economic and social development, this paper analyzes the impact of Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics on the development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region from different aspects such as the industrial transformation and upgrading, infrastructure construction, ecological environment improvement, employment and living standards improvement. The study finds that the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics has a positive impact on the economic and social development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. While seizing the development opportunities brought by the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region should also make overall planning and rational investment, optimize the allocation of resources, adhere to the concept of sustainable development, give full play to the driving role of the Olympic economy, and promote the coordinated economic development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
