中国英语专业学习者议论文写作中形容词强化语使用型式研究——基于语料库的考察 被引量:2

摘要 本文基于WECCL和FLOB语料库,从频率分布、搭配状况以及语义韵强度方面对比研究中国英语专业大学生和英语本族语者形容词强化语的使用型式。结果发现:(1)中国英语专业大学生显著多用或少用某些高频形容词强化语;多用各类别增强语,少用各类别减弱语,差异显著;(2)15个高频形容词强化语搭配中,中国学习者过度使用除so much之外的其他所有搭配,且这些搭配多集中在most、very、so和too等强化语上;(3)从语义韵来看,中国英语专业大学生使用的增强语和减弱语的语义韵强度与英语本族语者既存在共同之处也有差异,差异主要表现在most、totally、very和only等词上。本研究结果有助于为中国英语专业写作教学提供参考与指导。 Based on WECCL and FLOB,this paper aims to conduct a comparative study on the usage patterns of adjective intensifiers by Chinese English-major learners and native English speakers from the perspective of frequency distribution,collocations and semantic prosody strengths of adjective intensifiers.Results show:(1)Chinese English-major learners significantly overuse each category of amplifiers,but underuse each category of downtoners;they also significantly overuse or underuse certain high-frequency adjective intensifiers.(2)Among the top 15 collocations of adjective intensifiers,Chinese English-major learners tend to overuse all of them except so much,and almost all of these intensified adjectives collocate with most,very,so and too.(3)From the perspective of semantic prosody,the prosody strengths of high-frequency amplifiers and downtoners in the two corpora display both similarities and differences,with differences being mainly embodied on the semantic strengths of most,totally,very and only.Results of this study may provide reference and guidance for teaching and learning of Chinese English-major writings.
