Effectiveness and safety of the third generation aromatase inhibitors for growth promotion

芳香化酶可使雄烯二酮转化为雌酮、睾酮转化为雌二醇,是体内雌激素生物合成的限速酶。芳香化酶抑制剂本用于治疗雌激素依赖的乳腺癌患者,但因其独特的药理作用——可通过抑制雌激素合成而延缓骨龄,因此可应用于各类原因所致的身材矮小的儿童。现对其促生长作用的有效性及安全性有关研究进行综述,以2008年以后发表的文献为主。

Aromatase can convert androstenedione to estrone and testosterone to estradiol,which is the ratelimiting enzyme of estrogen biosynthesis in vivo.Aromatase inhibitors are used to treat estrogen-dependent breast cancer patients,but because of their unique pharmacological effects of inhibiting the age of the bone by inhibiting estrogen synthesis,it can also be used for short stature.The effectiveness and safety of its growthpromoting effects are reviewed,mainly based on literatures published after 2008.
