摘要
英语专业八级考试(TEM 8)在2016年实施第三次改革。本研究采用定量与定性相结合的研究设计,探讨英语教师对新TEM 8及其具体改革措施的看法,考察新TEM 8的改革成效。研究结果表明,教师对新TEM 8及其阅读、写作部分改革措施总体上给予积极评价,对英译汉、新闻听力、人文知识改革措施的意见分歧较大。教师个人特征不影响他们对新TEM 8的看法。研究结果对TEM 8未来发展及其他高风险语言测试改革具有一定启示作用。
TEM 8 underwent a third major reform in 2016. Adopting a mixed-method design, this study explored English teachers’ views on the new TEM 8 and relevant reform measures, and examined its effects. Results indicated that English teachers had generally positive views on the new TEM 8 and the reform measures on Reading and Writing, but their views appeared divergent on the reforms of English-Chinese Translation, News Listening and General Knowledge. Teachers’ backgrounds did not influence their views. The study has implications for the future development of TEM 8 and the reforms of other high-stakes language assessments.
