摘要
本研究基于复杂动态系统理论,追踪中国学习者英语口语流利性的动态发展轨迹,使用移动相关性技术探究复杂性、准确性与流利性之间的互动关系。研究发现,口语流利性的语速流利性、中断流利性、修正流利性3个子系统呈非线性发展模式,具有不同程度的变异性。口语复杂性、准确性和流利性相互联结,三者关系处于不断变化之中,其中准确性与流利性逐渐转为协同发展的支持性关系。研究结果对我国英语口语教学具有一定启示意义。
Based on the Complex Dynamic Systems Theory, the present study aims to investigate how oral fluency of Chinese learners of English develops over time and examine the relationships among complexity, accuracy and fluency by the moving correlation technique. The results show that the three related subsystems of oral fluency, namely speed fluency, breakdown fluency and repair fluency, follow different developmental paths with a high degree of variability. Oral complexity, accuracy and fluency are interrelated, and the interactions change over time. Meanwhile, a cooperative relationship is found between accuracy and fluency, indicating that increasing fluency goes hand in hand with increasing accuracy. The results provide some implications for oral English teaching in China.
