摘要
以霍克斯、杨宪益的《红楼梦》两个英译本为研究对象,通过对比分析对小说中"粥""汤"的翻译,探讨二位译者在中医食养文化翻译方面的归化与异化、浅化策略,以及文化误读现象,以期对中医食养文化英译及中医文化的海外传播提供参考。
A wide variety of"porridge"and"soup"in Hong Lou Meng possess certain function of dietary regimen,and they contain rich cultural connotation of TCM.In the paper,two English versions of Hong Lou Meng translated by Hawkes and Yang Xianyi were chosen as the research objects.By comparing and analyzing the translations of"porridge"and"soup"in the novel,two translators′tactics,such as domestication,foreignization,simplification are explored,and cultural misreading in the translation of TCM dietary regimen are discussed in an attempt to provide valuable reference for cultural translation of TCM dietary regimen and overseas communication of TCM culture.
