摘要
Duguima, a Party member and a herder from Inner Mongolia autonomous region, was a teenager when she was given the task of raising 28 orphans from Shanghai. Born in a Mongolian family in 1942, she was honored as a People's Role Model for her selfless contributions to ethnic unity and progress. In the 1970 s, Duguima's self-taught medical and obstetric knowledge allowed her to save more than 40 young mothers who lived on the prairie.
