湖北省北部古生物化石资源特征与保护利用建议

Characteristics of Paleontological Fossil Resources in Northern Part ofHubei Province and Suggestions on Protection Development and Utilization

古生物化石产地调查是开展该类资源有效保护与开发利用的前提条件。通过“湖北省古生物化石产地示范调查(北部)”项目的实施,初步查明省域北部地区古生物化石具有分布地域广、延续时代长、种属类型多的基本特征;划定4处古生物化石集中产地,并提出整合区内资源、申报国家级重点保护古生物化石集中产地和打造旅游品牌等建议。

The investigation of paleontological fossils origin is a prerequisite for the effective protection,development and utilization.Through the implementation of the project,‘Investigation on Demonstration of Paleontological Fossils Origin Place in Hubei Province(North)’,the basic characteristics of paleontological fossils in the northern part of the province are preliminarily identified,which are characterized by wide distribution,long duration and many species and genera.Four concentrated places of paleontological fossils are delineated,and some suggestions on the protection,development and utilization are put forward.
