近年来,随着城市化进程的快速发展,老龄化现象日益加剧,生活需求日趋多元化,老旧社区功能适应性问题尤为突出。文章基于既有公共建筑--上海东昌电影院的建筑特点及实际情况,结合周边老旧社区的养老需求,对其进行适老化改造策略研究,主要从功能置入与整合、室外空间活化、适老生活环境营造方面展开。在强化周边老旧社区适老功能的同时,一定程度上保留影院自身历史文化价值,激发原有活力,进而满足社区老年人的养老需求,提升社区养老水平。
