A Big Cylinder with Peeling Red Paint:From Rajomon to Rashomon

本文从场面设定、人物设定和对话设定等方面对《罗城门》和《罗生门》的构成要素进行比较研究。芥川在《罗生门》中将仆人转变为强盗,这种急剧的身份转换是否令人信服,其自身也颇为迷惑。对话设定是本论分析的重点,旨在论证《罗城门》中老妪的话语是为了博得盗人同情的谎言。而《罗生门》老太婆的话语,在芥川小说中具有让仆人变成强盗的决定性功能,是小说产生戏剧效果的重要前提。笔者认为,芥川从《罗城门》老妪的谎言中获得灵感,由此创造出《丛林中》的小说叙述方式。

This paper compares the elements of Rajomon and Rashomon to clarify the similarities and differences between the two in scene setting,character setting,and dialogue setting.First of all,Akutagawa turns the robber in Rajomon into a servant in Rashomon,and the servant eventually becomes a robber because of the conflicts in the story.Besides,this paper focuses on comparing and analyzing the dialogue setting of the two literary works,demonstrating that what the old woman says to the robber in Rajomon is to win the sympathy from the robber,while in Akutagawa’s Rashomon,the old woman’s words play the role as a prerequisite for turning the servant into a robber.In my opinion,Akutagawa might be inspired by the old woman’s lie in the Rajomon,and created a brand-new way of narration in Yabunonaka.
