Main Achievements of Economic Development in Ethnic Regions since the Western Development

西部大开发战略实施以来,我国民族地区经济发展取得了一系列成效:民族地区经济总量持续增长,人均GDP显著提高,民族八省区经济增长速度已赶上或超过全国平均水平;产业结构不断优化,非农产业比例显著提高;人民生活质量不断改善,城乡人民收入水平大幅提高;城镇化水平大幅提高;脱贫攻坚和精准扶贫成效显著。

Since the implementation of the Western Development Policy in 2000,the economic development of ethnic regions in China has achieved a series of results:the total economic growth in ethnic regions has continued to increase,and the per capita GDP has increased hugely.The economic growth rate of eight ethnic provinces and regions has caught up or exceeded the national average;the industry structure has been continuously optimized,and the proportion of non-agricultural industries has increased greatly;the quality of life of the people has been continuously improved,and the income level of urban and rural people has increased significantly;the level of urbanization has been greatly improved;poverty alleviation has also achieved remarkable results.
