Kangxi Dictionary, which was compiled under the authority of Emperor Kangxi, was a canon of wordbook that could not be modified in the political and cultural context of the Qing Dynasty. With the change of modern politics and culture, Kangxi Dictionary was revalued. It was widely published through new printing technology with the changing concept of dictionary compiling. In the view of book history, this was a result of interaction of multiple factors as well as a typical case of ancient Chinese book publishing history.
