疫情引发的应急语言术语称名与英译

The Nomenclature and English Translation of Emergency Language Services Terminology under COVID-19 Pandemic

全球新冠肺炎疫情暴发,应急语言服务成为语言学术界热议的话题。对应急语言相关术语进行梳理和归类,发现存在以应急语言和语言应急为核心概念的五组不同术语称名。根据术语称名的属种关系、语义场、理据性与构词法四项原则,对比分析两类术语集的差异,提出从科学性、规范性、统一性和合理性出发,建议采用应急语言的核心概念对应急语言术语进行统一,并根据国外文献应急语言术语的调查结果和术语翻译原则,提供了应急语言术语集的英文译名,希望通过应急语言术语规范化的讨论能为抗击疫情助力。

Since the global outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic,emergency language services have become a hot topic among linguistic academia.After categorization and summary of the related terms of emergency language,this paper finds that there are five groups of terminology grounded in the two key concepts of emergency language and language emergency in the literature.Based on the comparison and analysis of the two sets of terms in accordance with the four rules of taxonomic relationship,semantic field,motivation,and word formation of the nomenclature,it is suggested that the core concept of emergency language should be adopted for the terminology consistency,and the equivalent English translation of emergency language-related terms is provided based on the terminology survey in international literature and the rules of nomenclature translation.It is our hope to contribute to the fight against COVID-19 through the discussion of terminology standardization.
