A Brief Analysis on the Dilemma of the Language Ecology in the Process of City Internationalization and the Solutions

城市国际化是社会分工全球化的必然产物,城市的空间格局、人口结构随之改变。各种社会矛盾往往以语言冲突的方式得以表现,糟糕的语言环境会影响城市的稳定。从语言生态学的视角审视语言及其生存环境,提出以语言观念更新、语言能力提升和语言资源开发为抓手,构建新的语言生态平衡,促进城市国际化进程。

City internationalization is the result of globalization of social division of labor, the spatial pattern and population structure of the city change accordingly. Social contradictions are always manifested in the way of language conflict, and the terrible language environment affects the stability of the city. With the comprehensive consideration of languages and environment from the perspective of language ecology, a new ecological balance of language could be achieved through the update of language concepts, improvement of linguistic capacity and resource development, which will greatly promote the internationalization of cities.
