摘要
英语作为一门国际通用语言,其在国际教育中的作用日益体现。在众多国家的高校教育中,英语普遍被作为一些学科的教学用语,但是以英语为教学媒介来传授知识是否是最高效的,在当今教育界还是备受争论。本文系统梳理了当前相关研究文献对使用全英语或部分英语的高效性作出的研究和结论,并将大型开放式网络课程(MOOC)电子学习平台中对以英语为媒介的教学为话题展开的讨论所收集的数据作为研究样本展开讨论。最后,本文指出部分老师觉得全英教学可以帮助学生提高英语水平但也有老师认为母语和英语相结合更容易帮助学生理解课堂知识。
As an international language, English is increasingly showing its role in international education. In college education in many countries, English is generally used as a teaching language in some disciplines, but whether English is the most effective medium for instructing knowledge is still highly debated in the education industry today. This paper systematically sorts out the research and conclusions of the current relevant research literature on the efficiency of using all or part of English, and conducts a discussion with the data collected in the discussion around the instruction with English as the medium in the e-learning platform of massive open online courses(MOOC) as the research sample. Finally, this paper points out that some teachers feel that all-English teaching can help students improve their English proficiency, but some teachers believe that the combination of mother tongue and English is easier to help students understand classroom knowledge.
