Medical insurance service is an important social security related to the national economy and people’s livelihood.Through accurate and scientific data analysis,pharmacoeconomics can help the reform of the medical insurance industry,and promote the healthy and sustainable development of the medical insurance industry.Based on the analysis of the concept and function of pharmacoeconomics,this paper expounds the effects of pharmacoeconomics on the sustainable development of medical insurance.Through the adoption of relevant reform measures,the supporting role of pharmacoeconomics in the sustainable development of medical insurance can be further enhanced to realize the reform of medical insurance in China.
