A Brief Analysis of Pangolins Survival Status and Protection Prospects

穿山甲为我国二级重点保护野生动物。因其具有食用和药用价值,在过去几十年间,穿山甲贸易经久不衰。随着穿山甲栖息地被破坏和人类无节制的滥捕滥猎,其种群数量急剧减少,已至灭亡的边缘。笔者通过介绍穿山甲的生存及保护措施现状,进一步探讨如何更有效地保护该物种,从而为我国相关部门制定保护战略,解决资源保护与利用的矛盾提供参考和依据。

Abstact:Pangolins,Second-class national protected animal,have enjoyed an enduring trade in the past few decades due to their food and medicinal value.As pangolins’habitat was destroyed and humans overhunted,their population dwindled to the brink of extinction.This paper summarizes the status quo of pangolin survival and protection measures,and further discusses how to protect the species more effectively,so as to provide reference and basis for relevant departments in China to formulate protection strategies and the contradiction between resource protection and utilization.
