摘要
统计力学是物理系的核心课程四大力学的最后一门课。课程着重讲授统计物理和统计热力学的基本原理、研究方法及其应用,使学生了解统计力学的理论框架,掌握统计力学处理大量粒子体系的物理问题的方法。本文结合清华大学物理系学生特点,介绍了在统计力学的教学组织上特别注意做好基本问题和概念等重点环节的讲授经验,以及激发学生主动学习能动性的论文讨论环节,并且在教学上采取多视角、分层次讲解,加深学生对于重要概念的理解和掌握应用,旨在达到通过课堂教学的讨论,鼓励学生的批判性思维,加深对于有关问题的理解。
Statistical mechanics is the last curriculum of the four major mechanics,which are the core courses in department of physics.This course focuses on the basic principles,research methods and applications of statistical physics and statistical thermodynamics,so that students can understand the theoretical framework of statistical mechanics and master the methods to deal with the physical systems containing a large number of particles.Having considered the characteristics of students in department of physics at Tsinghua University,this paper introduces the teaching organization of statistical mechanics,especially the teaching experience of paying attention to the key parts of basic problems and concepts,as well as the paper discussion session used to stimulate students initiative in learning.Besides,multi-perspective and multi-level explanations are taken in teaching to deepen students understanding and help them to grasp the application of important concepts,so as to encourage students critical thinking and deepen their understanding of relevant issues through the discussions in class.
