A Summary of Foreign Academic Research on the Third-line Construction Since the 1980s

20世纪80年代以来新中国的三线建设逐渐受到国内外学术界的广泛关注。国外学者对三线建设的基本概念、三线建设与中国国防军事工业及经济发展的关系等问题都做了不同的解读,这为我们借助国外研究成果,审视当前国内三线建设研究的成绩与不足提供了参考。中国学者既要积极借鉴西方学者研究三线建设的新视角,也要认清国外学者研究中的不足及其存在的问题,深入挖掘三线建设的精神、内涵及其在新中国历史中的地位、价值与意义。

Since the 1980s,the third-line construction of New China has been paid more and more attentions by the academic circles at home and abroad.Foreign scholars have made different interpretations on the issues such as the basic concept of the third-line construction,the relationship between the third-line construction and China’s defense and military industry and economic development,which provides reference for us to review the achievements and deficiencies of the current domestic research on the third-line construction with the aid of foreign research results.Chinese scholars should not only actively learn from western scholars’new perspectives in studying the third-line construction,but also recognize the deficiencies and problems in the research of foreign scholars and deeply excavate the spirit,connotation of the third-line construction and its position,value and significance in the history of New China.
