时代的性格就是青年的性格--恩格斯《伊默曼的〈回忆录〉》阅读札记(上)

The Character of the Times is the Character of Youth--Reading Notes on Friedrich Engels’ Immermanns Memorabilien(Ⅰ)

时代的性格就是青年的性格,是马克思主义青年观的重大理论命题之一。青年如何在奔涌的时代大潮中走向成熟和进步,青年的性格如何成为时代"性格"的"基调"并激发青年"崇高奔放的激情""像苍鹰一样""朝着真理的太阳飞去"?本文试图从恩格斯早年特别是1842年前的思想成长发展经历中寻找解答这一问题的线索,同时,试图尝试一种从青年的视角理解马克思主义思想理论及其研究的一般方法,以阐释和发现马克思主义理论的"青春化"特征,揭示马克思主义自诞生以来始终保持旺盛的生命力、创造力和想象力的奥秘之所在。另外,这对于青年马克思主义者的培养,或许也有着特别的蕴涵和意味。作为一篇读书笔记,本文仅仅是在关于青年恩格斯著作文本的阅读中涉及到以上问题而已,并未能做深入展开或论证,期待后续能有更多的研究介入。

The character of the times is the character of youth,and it is one of the major theoretical propositions of Marxist youth outlook. How can youths mature and progress in the tide of the rushing times,and how can youth’s character become the "keynote"of the "character"of the times and inspire youths to "sublime passion","like goshawks","flying towards the sun of truth"? This article tries to find clues to this question from Engels’ thoughts and development experience of his early years,especially before 1842. At the same time,the paper tries to understand a general method of Marxist theory and research from the perspective of youth to explain and discover the "youth"feature of Marxist theory and reveal the mystery of the vitality,creativity,and imagination that Marxism has always maintained since its birth. This may also have special implications and implications for the cultivation of young Marxists. As a reading note,this article only deals with the above issues in the reading of the text of the works of young Engels,and has not been elaborated on or demonstrated in depth. I look forward to more research from other scholars in the future.
