引进外资对区域创新能力的影响研究——基于贸易开放的新视角

Study on the Impact of Introducing Foreign Capital on Regional Innovation Capability--Based on a New Perspective of Trade Openness

基于中国2001~2016年省际层面的面板数据,以包含专利价值的创新指数作为地区创新能力的反映指标,实证检验了外资企业对外贸易与区域创新能力之间的因果关系。研究发现:外资企业主导的贸易开放有利于提升区域创新能力,考察期内,外资企业总体贸易开放水平每上升1个标准差,区域创新能力将提高大约0.1167个标准差。进一步研究表明,区域创新能力主要由外资企业出口贸易开放推动,而外资企业进口贸易开放影响不显著。最后,机制检验证实,外资企业贸易开放可以通过促进人力资本积累来提升区域创新能力。

Based on the panel data of China from 2001 to 2016 at the provincial level,the causal relationship between foreign trade and regional innovation ability of foreign-funded enterprises is empirically tested by using the innovation index including patent value as a reflection index of regional innovation capability.It finds that the trade openness is beneficial to enhance regional innovation capability.During the inspection period,the regional innovation capability would be improved by about 0.1167 standard deviations for each standard deviation increase in foreign-funded enterprises-led trade openness.Further research shows that the regional innovation capability is mainly promoted by the export trade openness,while the impact of the import trade openness is not significant.Finally,the mechanism test proves that the trade openness can enhance the regional innovation capability by promoting the accumulation of human capital.
