Review of RISC-V Microprocessor and Commercial IP

RISC-V是一个基于精简指令集原则的开源指令集架构(Instruction Set Architecture,ISA)。首先对RISC-V的产生背景、指令集编码格式以及特点进行了相关阐述,并与现有指令集架构比较了各自的优缺点,其次重点分析了采用RISC-V架构的开源处理器以及SoC,并对其性能进行分析比较,然后详细介绍了国内一些公司采用RISC-V架构设计的商业IP;最后展望RISC-V的发展前景。

RISC-V is an open source instruction set architecture(ISA)based on the principle of reduced instruction set.Firstly,the background,coding format and characteristics of RISC-V are described,and the advantages and disadvantages of RISC-V are compared with the existing instruction set architecture.Secondly,the open source processor and SoC with RISC-V architecture are analyzed and compared,and their performance is analyzed and compared.Then the commercial IP designed with RISC-V architecture by some domestic companies is introduced in detail.Finally,the future of RISC-V is discussed.
