摘要
格林布拉特新历史主义的"触摸真实"不是要以文本及其碎片为史料或论据来对"历史真实"进行复原,也不是要以所谓的"历史真实"为依据,来锁定文学艺术作品的意义。"触摸真实"是要以并置的文本及其碎片为垫脚石,通过"让文学文本和非文学文本成为彼此的厚描"的手法,对文艺复兴和现代早期英国的文学艺术作品以及意识形态状况进行阐释,从而提供一种重新建构历史和重新解读文学艺术作品的可能性。
The "touch of the real" in Greenblatt’s new historicism is not to recover the "historical reality" with texts and their fragments as proof or evidence. Nor is it an attempt to pin down the meaning of literary or artistic works based on "historical reality". Rather,"the touch of the real",with juxtaposed texts and their fragments as stepping stones,is an interpretation of the literary or artistic works and ideologies of Renaissance and Early Modern England by making the literary and the nonliterary one another’s thick description. It seeks to generate alternative possibilities to reconstruct history and re-read literary and artistic works.
