杜鹃意象是中国诗歌中的传统意象。杜甫诗歌中有11首诗作写到杜鹃,其杜鹃意象主要有三个层面:一是作为诗境构成的杜鹃意象,主要是指杜鹃啼鸣所渲染出的悲凉的环境氛围;二是乡关情怀、羁旅愁思,主要指杜鹃的啼鸣声唤起诗人心中的思乡情怀;三是借助“望帝化鹃”的传说和“鸠占鹊巢”的深意,暗含忠君爱国之意。

The image of cuckoo is a traditional image in Chinese poetry.There are 11 poems about cuckoo in Du Fu ’s poems,and the cuckoo image mainly has three meanings.Firstly,the cuckoo as the poetic environment is mainly the sad environment atmosphere rendered by the cuckoo’s singing.Secondly,the feeling of the country and the melancholy of the travel is mainly the cuckoo ’s singing to arouse the poet’s homesickness.Thirdly,it is implied the loyalty to the emperor and patriotism with the help of the legend of Wangdi Huajuan and the meaning of"a cuckoo taking over the nest of a magpie".
