This paper briefly describes the current status of the marine main engine during the oil flush-test run and the problems of filter alarms frequently,describes the importance of the new magnetic filter in the test-bed of auxiliary engine room.It also introduces the working principle,structure and design method of the new magnetic filter and compared with the traditional magnetic filter,describes the operation condition and effect of the filter prototype in the test-bed of auxiliary engine room and has a positive meaning of the magnetic filter applied research in the test-bed of auxiliary engine room.
