吴瑞甫为近代福建及新加坡著名国医名家、教育家及中西医汇通之佼佼者,其《新订奇验喉证明辨》于近代白喉肆虐,时医多未知悉西医白喉血清疗法所作。重视喉科病脉证并治,强调辨疾病本质及整体诊查与局部辨证相参合。阐明广义喉痹阴阳与“四时五脏气化”之学理,从三阴三阳气化说阐释喉痹“一阴一阳结”。融会中西治白喉,在时疫的基础上提出“痰毒”病原说。阴虚白喉和虚寒白喉辨治、遣方用药重辨证及蒐集喉科民间治法与验方,针对华南“阳燠气泄,中虚湿盛”的体质特点,凸显地域治疗特色。

As an outstanding traditional physician,educator,integrator of TCM.and Western Medicine in Fu-Jian Province and Singapore,WU Ri-fu has compiled Xin Ding Qi Yan Hong Zheng Ming Bian.The publication of this book is also mainly due to the rampancy of diphtheria in that times,many doctors do not know the treatment of diphtheria serum.Attention should be paid to the treatment of both pulse and syndrome in laryngology,and to the combination of identifying the essence of disease and overall diagnosis with local differentiation of symptoms and signs.Furthermore the book has clarified the theory of Yin and Yang in generalized pharyngitis and"four seasons and Five-Zang organs Qi transformation":Clarifing"one Yin and one Yang cementation"in pharyngitis with Qi transformation of three Yin and three Yang.Combining Chinese and Western therapies for diphtheria:On the basis of current epidemics,the pathogen theory of phlegm toxin is put forward.Differentiation and treatment of Yin deficiency diphtheria or deficiency cold diphtheria,emphasis on syndrome differentiation in drug delivery and collection of folk therapies and prescriptions in laryngeal department.In South China"Yang excess and Qi release,middle deficiency and dampness excess",the physical characteristics,highlight the regional characteristic treatment.
