晚清长沙数学家群体的组织与交流

The Organization and Communication of a Group of Mathematicians in Changsha in the Late Qing Dynasty

清咸丰、同治年间,被称为“湖南数学之领袖”的数学家丁取忠,组织一批数学家进行数学研究、交流与合作,十分活跃,成果突出,影响巨大。通过梳理该群体的形成、研究活动、学术交流、书籍出版等情况,以说明该群体是如何被组织起来的,以及丁取忠在其中所发挥的核心作用。

Mathematician Ding Quzhong,who was regarded as a leader of mathematics in Hunan Province,led a group of mathematicians in Changsha,during the period of 1850-1877.He organized them and guided their mathematical activities so that they became very active,achieved much research results and had a significant influence in the mathematical society of the late Qing Dynasty.The formation of the group and their mathematical research activities,academic exchanges and communications,academic cooperation,publication of mathematical books were studied,the organization processes of their mathematical activities of the group were analyzed and the important role of the mathematician Ding Quzhong was also evaluated in the present paper.
