摘要
徐悲鸿在抗战期间创作了大量具有纪念碑意义的作品,但是这些巨作却掩盖了抗战时期徐悲鸿创作中十分微妙的策略。强烈的爱国主义既让人们忽视了他作为国画改良者和学院写实主义领袖的双重身份的复杂性,也让人们忽视了他艺术作品中的现代性。徐悲鸿在抗战时期的一些作品如《九歌图》不仅具有非常宝贵的艺术价值,还体现了其对传统的独到理解,更能让人管窥他在抗日战争这个独特的历史语境中,如何通过赋予作品独特的现代价值来建构自身的象征地位的。
Xu Beihong created a large number of monumental works during the Anti-Japanese War, which, however, concealed the subtle tactics of Xu Beihong in his creation during the war. His strong patriotism made people ignore not only the complexity of his dual status as a Chinese painting improver and a leader of the academic realism, but also the modernity in his works of art. His works with great artistic value during the war, such as Qu Yuan’s Nine Songs, reflect his unique understanding of tradition. More importantly, they can give us a better insight into how he constructed his symbolic status by bestowing unique modern value on his works in the special historical context of the Anti-Japanese War.
