“塔西佗陷阱”并不是塔西佗本人提出的——关于“塔西佗陷阱”的正本溯源

“塔西佗陷阱”并不是直接来自塔西佗本人。迄今为止,不但在全世界的英语、法语、德语等各个语种中都寻觅不到对应的术语,不但塔西佗本人也从来就没有说到过“塔西佗陷阱”,而且,在他的原话中希望告诫的也是臣民,而不是皇帝。显然,塔西佗原话的主旨其实是与“塔西佗陷阱”的涵义恰恰相反的。“塔西佗陷阱”与塔西佗本人的原话的立论前提不同,提出的语境也不同。因此,“塔西佗陷阱”并不是塔西佗本人提出的。“塔西佗陷阱”是由中国学者首次提出,也是中国学者为世界人文社会科学话语建构所作出的重要贡献。

The"Tacitus Trap"does not come directly from Tacitus himself.Up to now,this term has neither been mentioned by Tacitus himself nor found any corresponding term in English,French,German or other languages all over the world.Moreover,in his original words,it is the citizen rather than the emperor that he wishes to warn.Obviously,the gist of Tacitus's original words is actually opposite to the meaning of"Tacitus trap"."Tacitus Trap"and Tacitus's own original words have different premise and context.Therefore,"Tacitus Trap"was not proposed by Tacitus himself.This term was first proposed by Chinese scholars,and thus it is an important contribution Chinese scholars made to the discourse construction of world humanities and social sciences.
