Eco-critical Discourse Analysis of English News Reports

在费尔克劳夫三维框架指导下,采用生态批评话语分析方法,从三个层面对英美新闻报道进行分析。在描写层面,从及物性的角度对新闻报道的语言特征进行分类、数据统计和分析;本文选取近一年内英美国家的知名新闻机构(CNN和BBC)的新闻中有关环境报道的文本,在阐释层面,对英美新闻报道语言的使用所反映的深层思想进行阐释;在解释层面,对英美新闻报道中隐含的生态哲学根源进行解释,系统分析从这些语料中所缺失和体现的生态思想。

The paper selects some news reports on environment from famous news organizations(CNN and BBC).It attempts to analyze the selected news report by using the method of ecological critical discourse analysis under the guidance of the three-dimensional framework of Fairclough.At the level of description,the linguistic features of news reports are classified and statistically analyzed.At the level of illustration,the deep thoughts reflected in the use of English and American news reporting languages are illustrated.On the interpretation level,the ecological philosophical roots implicit in the explanation are explained,and the ecological thoughts missing and embodied in these news reports are systematically analyzed.
