Objective To explore the effect of continuous nursing in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)undergoing surgery. Methods A total of 110 patients with BPH undergoing surgery in our hospital from December 2016 to April 2019 were randomly divided into control group(routine nursing) and observation group(continuous nursing), with 55 cases in each group. The nursing effect of the two groups were compared. Results After nursing, the scores of self-concept, self-care responsibility, self-care skills and health knowledge level in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). After nursing, the scores of tenacity and control, self-improvement, optimism and total score in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P <0.05). After nursing, the Q-max of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the IPSS score was lower than that of the control group(P <0.05). After nursing, the scores of disease, physiology, society, psychology and satisfaction in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P <0.05). The total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P <0.05). Conclusion The continuous nursing applied to patients with BPH undergoing surgery can effectively improve their self-care ability, quality of life, psychological state and clinical indicators, and it can reduce the incidence of complications.
