Objective Toobserve the clinical effi cacy of oral low-dose isotretinoin combined with 2%supramolecular salicylic acid in the treatment of moderate and severe acne. Methods A total of 74 patients with moderate to severe acne were included and treated with low-dose isotretinoin(10mg)daily.The treatment group was treated combined with 2%supramolecular salicylic acid, while the control group was treated combined with fusidic acid cream and adapalene gel.The comparative analyses, including the changes in the number of skin lesions and the treatment effect, were conductedbefore and after treatment in the two groups of patients. Results After 8 weeks of treatment, the two groups showed signifi cant improvement compared with thebaseline(P<0.05),but there was no marked difference between the treatment group and the control group(P>0.05).For different types of skin lesions, the effect of the treatment group on acne is more advantageous than the control group, and there is no signifi cant difference in the treatment effect on papules and nodules. Conclusion Low-dose isotretinoincombined with 2%supramolecular salicylic acid is effective in the treatment of moderate to severe acneandhasminor side effects, which is a new option for treatingacne.
