Objective To analyze and compare the correction effects of micro-implant anchorage(MIA)and headgear anchorage(HGA)on patients with ClassⅡdivision 1 malocclusion. Methods The clinical data of 95 patients with ClassⅡdivision 1 malocclusion in our hospital were collected.According to the treatment methods, the patients were divided into MIA group(46 cases)and HGA group(49 cases). The cephalometric measurement results and model measurement results, correction time and adverse reactions were compared before and after correction. Results After treatment, the angle of occlusal plane and SN plane(OP-SN),included angle of maxillary central incisor long axis and SN plane(U1-SN),upper lip protrusion(Ls-SnPg),lower lip protrusion(Li-SnPg),vertical distance from the most convex point of upper lip to E line(E line-UL),vertical distance from the most convex point of lower lip to E line(E line-LL),occlusion(OB)and coverage(OJ)in MIA group were smaller than those in HGA group(P<0.05),and the correction time was shorter than that in HGA group(P<0.05),and there was no signifi cant difference in the total incidence rate of adverse reactions compared with that in HGA group(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with HGA,MIA has better correction effects on patients with ClassⅡdivision 1 malocclusion, and can shorten the correction time.
