摘要
随着翻译研究的文化转向,更多研究开始关注作品的译介过程和传播效果。具有重要史学、社会学及文学价值的口述实录文学代表作《北京人》的1986年中国熊猫版英译本和1987年美国潘索恩版一起,促进了原作在海外的成功传播。以传播学5W理论为阐释框架,对两个英译本的传播效果、翻译主体、翻译内容、传播途径、受众等进行考察,剖析背后的动因,并提出传播口述实录文学的优化策略,为中国文学/文化走出去提供一定的参考。
With the cultural turn of translation studies, more and more studies begin to pay attention to the process of translation and communication. The English translation of the 1986 Chinese Panda edition and the 1987 American Pan Thorne edition of Beijing Ren, a representative oral documentary work of great historical, sociological and literary value, have promoted the successful dissemination of the original overseas. Based on the 5 W theory of communication, this paper investigates the communication effect, translation subject, translation content, communication channel and audience of the two English versions, analyzes the motivation behind them, and puts forward the optimization strategy of oral literature, which provides a certain reference for Chinese literature/culture to go out.
