South Korean Female Pilot Flying in the Sky of China——Kwon Ki-ok's Anti-Japanese Rehabilitation Activities in China

1919年“三·一”运动后,韩国国内的反日爱国运动进入低潮期,为此,众多韩国爱国志士来到中国,谋求祖国独立复兴的新道路。怀揣蓝天梦的权基玉即在这一时期来到中国,并于1923年进入云南航空学校飞行科学习。毕业之后,权基玉加入中国军队,先后参加了北伐战争和抗日战争。重庆时期,权基玉又积极参与到“留渝韩国爱国妇人会”的重建工作。回到韩国后,权基玉继续为韩国的空军事业奋斗,被誉为“韩国空军祖母”。

After the"March 1st"movement in 1919,the anti-Japanese patriotic movement on the Korean Peninsula entered a period of low tide.To this end,many Korean patriots came to China to seek a new path for the independent rejuvenation of the motherland.Kwon Ki-ok,who had a dream of blue sky,came to China during this period and entered the flight department of Yunnan Aviation School in 1923.After graduation,Kwon Ki-ok joined the Chinese army and participated in the Northern Expedition and the War of Resistance against Japan.During the Chongqing period,Kwon Ki-ok actively participated in the reconstruction work of the"Korean Women's Association".After returning to South Korea,Kwon Ki-ok continued to fight for the Korean air force and was known as the"Korean Air Force Grandmother".
